The SM 16-core MPO patch cord is a high-capacity multi-fiber jumper constructed with precise MPO ferrules, color-coded bare fibers and optional LSZH/OFNR/OFNP flame-retardant sheath, qualified with IEC optical performance standards. Four fiber options cover single-mode and three multimode grades with differentiated bandwidth performance. Single-mode realizes long-haul 40G–1.6T transmission, while OM3/OM4/OM5 merely support 40G/100G short-distance transmission. OM5 enables SWDM4 long-reach transmission and seamless compatibility with existing OM3/OM4 systems. Designed for indoor constant-temperature data center environments, it delivers stable optical performance under frequent plugging. It greatly reduces cable congestion inside cabinets, ideal for OSFP/QSFP-DD transceiver interconnection, high-density trunk links and AI computing cluster short-range wiring.
