12 cores MTPĀ® to 6x LC Duplex harness Cables assemblies

The series products are engineered for high-density data center environments, this 12-core MTPĀ® to 6x LC Duplex harness fanout cable provides an efficient transition from parallel optics to discrete LC patching. Featuring a single 12-fiber MTPĀ® connector that breaks out into six duplex LC interfaces via ruggedized 2.0mm legs, it offers superior durability and easier handling compared to standard 0.9mm cables.

This plug-and-play assembly is specifically designed to bridge high-capacity MTPĀ® trunks with traditional LC infrastructure. It is widely deployed for 40G and 100G parallel optics deployments, enabling seamless connectivity between spine switches, top-of-rack servers, and storage arrays. The 2.0mm fanout legs provide excellent bend radius management and installation convenience, making it ideal for high-density rack environments.

Available in SM (OS2), OM3, and OM4 fiber types, this harness supports diverse transmission requirements from 10G to 100G Ethernet applications. Factory-terminated and 100% optically tested, each assembly guarantees low insertion loss and exceptional signal integrity. By eliminating on-site fiber splicing, this solution significantly accelerates deployment timelines while providing a streamlined, future-proof pathway for network migration and expansion.

Application

1ļ¼ŽHigh-Density 40G to 10G Breakout Cabling
This is the primary application for 12-fiber harness cables in data center environments. It is widely used to connect high-speed switches populated with 40G QSFP+ transceivers to existing 10G SFP+ equipment. By utilizing parallel optics (such as 40GBASE-SR4), the 12-fiber MTPĀ® connector efficiently transmits 4x duplex channels, allowing seamless and cost-effective integration between new 40G network hardware and legacy 10G infrastructure.

  1. Backbone-to-Rack System Transition
Designed for high-density backbone cabling, this harness acts as a critical bridge between high-capacity MTPĀ® trunk assemblies and traditional rack systems. The 2.0mm fanout legs provide enhanced tensile strength and crush resistance, making them ideal for routing through cable managers and connecting core network trunks to individual patch panels or access layer switches.
  2. 100G Parallel Optics Deployments
In modern data centers, this 12-fiber fanout solution supports short-range 25G–100G direct connections. It facilitates the migration from duplex-based 10G/25G applications to parallel optics-based 100G Ethernet, maximizing port utilization and eliminating fiber waste during network upgrades.
  3. SAN and HPC Interconnects
The ruggedized 2.0mm construction ensures high reliability in demanding environments. It is extensively deployed in Storage Area Networks (SAN) and High-Performance Computing (HPC) clusters to deliver low-latency, high-bandwidth links between storage arrays, servers, and core switches, maintaining signal integrity even in congested rack spaces.

Summary:Ā The 12F 2.0mm harness is specifically optimized forĀ high-density backbone transitions and 40G/100G breakout applications, offering the physical durability required for complex data center routing while ensuring seamless speed migration.
