16F MTP-MTP Trunk cable

This 16-fiber MTP-MTP trunk cable is a high-density backbone cabling solution for hyperscale data centers. It integrates standard single-mode OS2 or multimode OM3/OM4/OM5 fiber with precision polished MTP UPC connectors, supporting massive parallel optical interconnections.

Compact 16-fiber MTP interface greatly reduces rack space occupation and simplifies cable management. Bend-insensitive fiber core avoids extra attenuation during complex routing. LSZH flame-retardant jacket meets CPR fire safety standards, with distinct color coding for quick fiber type identification.

All of FDC’s MTP® Connectors are from USconec. At the same time,FDC‘s MTP® cable are available with fiber brands of Corning,YOFC,Fiberhome, Jfiber,Fiberhome,ZTT,etc. LSZH,OFNP,OFNR Jacket material. Available in Type A/B/C polarity and male/female pin configurations. Each trunk undergoes full insertion loss & return loss testing. Ideal for cross-rack interconnections, ODF main distribution links and spine-leaf network backbone supporting 40G to 1.6T high-speed transceivers.

Application

Application:

  1. 16F Single-Mode (SM) MPO Patch Cord

Bandwidth: Features ultra-low dispersion and unlimited bandwidth, delivering consistent and reliable long-distance optical transmission performance.

Transmission Rate & Reach: Supports 40G LR4, 100G LR4, 400G LR4, 800G DR8 and 1.6T DR8 parallel optical transmission; 40G/100G/400G reach up to 10km, 800G DR8 reach up to 500m, 1.6T DR8 reach up to 500m for data center short-reach interconnection.

Application Scenarios: Ideal for long-haul network deployment and ultra-high-speed interconnection, including inter-data center connections, cross-building backbone links, campus long-distance cabling, outdoor telecom transmission systems, and 800G/1.6T short-reach AI cluster wiring.

  1. 16F OM3 Multimode MPO Patch Cord

Bandwidth: Provides 2000 MHz·km bandwidth at 850nm, optimized for standard short-reach multimode optical transmission.

Transmission Rate & Reach: Supports 40G SR4 up to 100m and 100G SR4 up to 70m; not suitable for stable 400G, 800G and 1.6T high-speed transmission.

Application Scenarios: Widely used for medium-density data center internal wiring, short-distance interconnection between servers, switches and storage devices, and traditional enterprise computer room high-speed links.

  1. 16F OM4 Multimode MPO Patch Cord

Bandwidth: Delivers 4700 MHz·km bandwidth at 850nm, with lower attenuation and higher bandwidth capacity compared with OM3 for enhanced high-speed performance.

Transmission Rate & Reach: Supports 40G SR4 up to 150m, 100G SR4 up to 100m, 400G SR4.2 up to 70m, and 800G SR8 up to 50m; does not support 1.6T transmission.

Application Scenarios: Serves as the mainstream cabling solution for high-density cloud data centers, cabinet jumper wiring, and large-scale short-range 40G/100G/400G/800G optical interconnection.

  1. 16F OM5 Wideband Multimode MPO Patch Cord
