24F Armored MPO-LC fanout 2.0mm Breakout cable (SM/OM3/OM4/OM5)
The 24-fiber MPO-LC armored breakout patch cord is an ultra-high-density fiber optic interconnect designed for next-generation, high-bandwidth network deployments. Featuring a 24-fiber MPO/MTP connector on one end and twenty-four individual LC simplex connectors on the breakout legs, this assembly delivers maximum fiber count within a single connector footprint while ensuring rugged mechanical protection through armored cable construction.
Description
Design Principles
Armored Cable Construction. Each breakout leg integrates a helically wound stainless steel interlock armor layer, providing crush resistance ≥440 N/10 cm, rodent protection, and impact resistance. The armored design eliminates external conduit requirements in exposed cable pathways, significantly reducing infrastructure cost and installation labor in demanding environments.
Dual-Row MT Ferrule Technology. The 24-fiber MPO/MTP connector employs a dual-row MT ferrule housing twenty-four optical fibers in two rows of twelve, precision-molded to sub-micron tolerances. High-accuracy stainless steel guide pins ensure repeatable alignment across mating cycles. Available in Type A, Type B, and Type C polarity configurations per TIA-568.2, supporting complex parallel optics architectures including 400G SR8 and 800G DR4/FR4 fanout topologies.
Compact 2.0mm Profile. Each of the twenty-four breakout legs maintains a 2.0 mm outer diameter despite integrated armor, maximizing cable tray fill efficiency and preserving airflow in high-density patching frames. Tight-buffered 900 μm fibers with aramid yarn strength members ensure reliable tensile performance.
Optical Performance. LC connectors feature premium zirconia ceramic ferrules polished to UPC profile, achieving insertion loss ≤ 0.35 dB and return loss ≥ 50 dB. All assemblies undergo 100% end-face interferometric inspection per IEC 61300-3-35 and IL/RL verification per IEC 61300-3-4.

Benefits of Armored Fiber Patch Cable
Common fiber optic cable is fragile, which needs to be protected, especially when in harsh applications where cables could be compromised by rodents, constant wear and tear or weather damage. Armored fiber patch cable retains all the features of standard fiber cable but is much stronger due to its extra layers of armor. With the protection of flexible and durable steel tube, armored fiber patch cable will ensure the excellent operation of your network.
